What Do the Letters THC/THCA/CBD in Your Menu Mean?
We list these acronyms to help you find the right product for you.
THC is the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis that causes feelings of euphoria. Those looking to invoke stronger euphoric sensations look for products with higher levels of THC (THC+). Those looking for a more measured experience see products with lower levels of THC (THC-).
Although it also comes from the same cannabis plant, CBD is a different from THC because it has no psychoactive properties. In fact, medicine containing high levels of CBD will prevent the euphoric sensations caused by THC.
Accordingly, CBD can be preferred by those looking for the healing benefits of cannabis while avoiding psychoactive sensations. Because it isn’t psychoactive, many states only allow the use of CBD cannabis and CBD can increasingly be found outside dispensaries (at pharmacies, grocery store, etc.).
THCA is a precursor to THC and it is listed as a reference. Many dispensaries list only one of these values (THCA) to inflate the perception that their medicine has more THC than accurate. We list both values to avoid confusion.

How Much Edible Should I Eat?
Everyone’s different and your experience with cannabis edibles may vary depending on what you have eaten, how much you weigh, the last time you consumed cannabis, your unique body chemistry, and more.
A good rule of thumb is to start low and build slow until you’ve identified the dose that works best for you. We recommend beginning with a lower dose – typically 5mg to 10mg – waiting to feel the effects, and then stopping or increasing the dosage amount. Keep in mind that it may take 2-3 hours to feel effects.
Again, starting low and building slow will help ensure you have the best possible experience and avoid some of the unpleasant experiences that can often be associated with edibles.
